Wanted Soda Keg UK

Categories: Homebrew Beer

Question:

Hi=20 I’m looking for a soda keg or should I say a stainless steel keg that I can use for Lager.

Talk to Chris Hogg at Hamstead Homebrew in Birmingham. 0121 358 6800 They have Cornelius Kegs 20 litre for =A345 Including a commercial style sparkler tap. These guys are really helpful. They are having made a 10 Gallon stainless steel boiler ( electric ) for me. They can provide Fonts, comercial and their own design which look superb, you name it, they can get it or tell you why you don’t want it. Just to say I have no vested interest beyond that of helping a really useful, knowledgable, and generally nice guy get on! –=20 ‘ol heitir me(eth) manunum en me(eth) Assum bjor’ ‘Ale it is called among men and among Gods beer’ ( Old Norse from the Alvismal c950 ) Wassail Tony Barnsley=20

I’ve got some of the plastic ones that you can buy here in the UK however they won’t hold the preasure for a Lager to be preasurised properly.=20 My friend Tom in the States sujested one of these.  I priced them up in my local brew shop and he wants 50 pounds for the keg alone without the taps etc.  Has anyone got any in the UK that they have for sale? I don’t have a drinking problem I drink… Get drunk… Fall over… No problem. Scotty…. Beam me down a homebrew. Brewpages at http://www.alpha-byte.demon.co.uk Vince.

Another Update=20 Talk To Mike Braithwaite At The Hop & Grape in Darlington 01325 380780. They have 10 l recon kegs for =A325. I notice for another posting that you are looking to pay around =A320 for a 20L Keg. Bear in mind that a decent plastic barrel costs more than that, getting hold of a corny keg for that price will be difficult –=20 ‘ol heitir me(eth) manunum en me(eth) Assum bjor’ ‘Ale it is called among men and among Gods beer’ ( Old Norse from the Alvismal c950 ) Wassail Tony Barnsley=20
