stuff for sale
Question:
I gave up brewing for three full years, vowing to never pick it up again, ever. Suddenly, w/ some time on my hands one day last May, I started up again. Six months later and I’m all grain brewing, have an outdoor cooker, chiller and have done 20 batches since May I’m obsessed. I’d recommend keeping it in storage, you never know. You’re better of selling textbooks than your brewing gear! John – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Due to too little time and other interests I am getting out of the homebrew hobby. I have some items for sale: 5 gallon Mr. Beer vat. This one has the tap and the screw on lid. It makes a fantastic primary and bottling vat. It holds over 5 gallons. A nice 5 gallon glass water bottle secondary. I also have a hand bottle capper, bottle washer, a couple of air locks, stoppers, siphon, a couple cases or more of brown bottles, some caps, a book or two, and other misc stuff. If you are interested I will make a complete and thorough inventory. Make me an offer…. Norm

I know you said textbooks, but don’t sell brewing book either. I had in my possesion volumes 1-12 of the AHA Style Series about 3 years ago. Myself and another brewer pieced them out for a fundraiser for our homebrew club. I was not very advanced in brewing at the time. Since then I have repurchased them all. When I think about the price we asked, and what I paid, I kick myself. It would have been better to just donated the money myself and to have kept the books. Cheers, Mike

Thanks for the advice. I never was one for repeating a recipe and like to mix it up a bit each time. Most of my beer was mighty fine and only my first batch was nearly undrinkable. Maybe I should put the stuff in the attic for the winter and set what the spring or summer brings. Norm

What state are you located? I might be interested in the Mr. Beer Vat if you don’t have to ship it far. I’m in Florida
