Just started my first mead
Question:
I havent done it before ; but, I hope it turns out.
This is funny–my 1st mead has been bubbling merrily along for 2.5 days now, and… I also have five gallons of dark ale in the closet that I started on thursday.
…I’m bottling a coffee-oatmeal stout tomorrow morning! Too bad we don’t live closer together; we could drink mine while we were waiting for yours!
Response:
Yea, it’s too bad because I’m really getting itchy for some home brew. The closest thing I can find here in Norman is Sam Adams Scotch Ale, unless I want to go to the pricey micro-brewerys and take the chance of driving home afterwards. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I havent done it before ; but, I hope it turns out. I havent done it before ; but, I hope it turns out. I used the Antipodal Mead (traditional ) recepie from THE NEW COMPLETE JOY OF HOME BREWING book. I cut in fifths because I didn’t know if I would like mead. I also have five gallons of dark ale in the closet that I started on thursday. Its smelling pretty good. Its raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock in Oklahoma.
