Better keg/disconnect seal

Categories: Home Brew

Question:

I often had the same problem but figured it was due to having too many kegs and the o-rings tended to dry out and leak.  A little vasoline cured this and later replaced this with a food-prep product designed for this purpose sold by The Beverage Co., Home Brew Supplier in He has the largest selection of homebrew kits I have ever seen.

After some searching, I found the product I use  Keg Lube from Williams Brewing San Leandro, CA "They don’t know what they don’t know." Hurricane Joe Perry  (runner & fast person)  1995

Response:

I have pin-lock kegs with plastic quick disconnects.  With the o-rings that came with my ‘o-ring replacement kit’, I get CO2 leakage at the keg.  With slightly larger 1/2" inner diameter, 11/16" outer diameter rubber o-rings from the hardware store (Builder’s Square), I get a tighter fit and no CO2 leakage.  FYI

I have no connection to this store except as a mailorder customer. "They don’t know what they don’t know." Hurricane Joe Perry  (runner & fast person)  1995
