Rheinbecker Low-carb beer
Question:
I saw a blurb about this in the dining section of our local paper. According to the label it’s brewed (by Karlsberg in Germany) in accordance with the German brewing laws. It’s not Guinness (but then what is?). Definitely does NOT taste like water. Heavy hops. Maybe even too heavy, which is something I never thought I’d hear myself say. 2.5 gm carb, 106 cal per 11.2 oz bottle. Over twice the price of Miller Lite, but I’m going to keep it in the act anyway. — 6/2/2003 181/164/164?
Response:
I was reading an issue of Macleans Magazine that had a great article on low-carb beers. They assembled a panel of beer lovers and got them to taste many of the most popular brands.. The comments were not very complimentary about any of the beers except one which they all said was very good. That Beer was Grasshopper Beer from Rock Brewing Co. I haven’t tried it yet so I can’t give my own opinion on it. Tony – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I saw a blurb about this in the dining section of our local paper.
