Ball lock keg O-ring size?

Categories: Brewing Beer

Question:

I have just gotten my first keg.  It is missing the o-rings on gas and liquid connectors.  What size o-rings should I buy?  Thanks! Greg

Greg, I too am a new kegger.  When I cleaned up my three newly acquired kegs, I decided to replace all the rings.  After throwing them away, I went to the brew store to buy more.  Needless to say, they didn’t have any nor could they tell me what sizes they were.  I found everything I needed from William’s Brewing at http://www.williamsbrewing.com.  They only cost about 40 cents a piece and fit perfect.  The only thing I didn’t like was the shipping charges, but I just ordered a few more hard to acquire items to offset that cost.  No connection, just passing on the a source that has helped me. As mentioned, all the replacement o-rings are available.  It turns out that the o-rings for the Gardena (and Hozelock and other competitors) garden hose quick connects, have a replacement o-ring for their half inch male fitting that fits.  Costs a few pennies more, but is available at your local hardware store.
