Hi Greg, As it happens I joined this newsgroup with a lemon ale in hand fermented with Cooper’s dried yeast from Australia no less…It is hot here in London, Canada today with a high of 33C and a humidex around 40C or higher…so this beer was brewed for this day Summer Zinger Mash single step infusion 3kg pale malt 500g toasted malt 180C 10 minutes Boil 2cups dextrose 35 minutes 20g Northern Brewer 65 minutes(Cascade would also be nice!) 40g Northern Brewer 40 minutes lemon peel from 2 lemons grated 10 minutes 35g ginger root grated 10 minutes 40g coriander seed crushed 10 minutes Cooper’s powdered yeast 30g cascade dry hopped in secondary 10 days 3/4 cup dextrose for bottling I.G. 1.038 F.G. 1.006 after 20 days This beer has a light mouth feel and a cleansing zing which makes it an excellent refresher any time! Make lemon aid and add vodka!!! about 1oz for every 12-15oz of lemonade.

I have seen Lemon Ales around, but nobody I know has ever tried it.
