What to do in Seattle?
Question:
Another great stop in Seattle is "CJ Borg’s" beerpub in the Sea-Tac Airport, I think in the "C" concourse, just inside of the security area. They have about 12-15 microbrews on tap at any time, and their beef stew in a sourdough bread bowl is a showstopper! Bruce Ross
Response:
A couple others deserve mention too! Of course Red Hook Brewery, which is a cheep cab ride from downtown, and south of Seattle in Puyallup is The Powerhouse! they have great food like the spicey circuit breaker pizza and some very good brews. I really like the IPA.

Hi all, I got such good advice on where to pub crawl in Mpls/St.Paul from this group last summer, that I thought I’d let you plan my trip to Seattle. Where are the must do brewpubs in Seattle? I’m going to be there May 22-29, 1997. What local microbrews should I try to get? Full bodied, hoppy beers are the ones for me! Tell me where to go
I was in Seattle last year and managed to hit Hart, Redhook and Big Time Brewery ( near Univ of Wash). Check out "the Real Beer Page" or "Beer is My Life" for addresses, etc. One good tavern I hit was the Virginia Inn at, I recall, 1st Ave and Virginia. Good food, ten micro taps, and friendly people. Have fun Tom

Lots of brewpubs in Seattle: Pyramid, Pike, Hale’s, Big Time, Elysian, three McMenamins, Cedar River down in Renton, and more. In addition, there are several good ale houses where you can sample the diversity that we enjoy up here, like the Ridge Brewpub and Grill, the Reading Gaol, the Park Pub, the Wedgwood Ale House, the Rose Hill Ale House (a *must*, out in suburban Kirkland), the 74th Street Ale House, the Hilltop Ale House, and… Tell ya what. There’s a web URL in the .signature below. Fire up your favorite browser and have a look.
