hee! after almost 5 months without any alcohol at all, i’ve discovered that the hollow leg hasn’t filled out any — unfortunately, the hollow head is a little bit fuzzy today! =:o we were boring, and had cheeze-dogs and chips to go with the 6-pack of ‘guinness draught’ — the bottles with the weird little nitrous canisters shaking around at the bottom — and the 6-pack of regular guinness. YUMMY — Ok, i’m easily pleased sometimes. :-> we watched the X-games on teevee. i remember watching them in person when they were held in san diego, but it was fun to see them in l.a. too. then we watched juan manuel marquez box a last-minute replacement for smoke gainer, who claimed to have pulled a pectoral muscle during training and backed out. i was smart enough to stay offline, but did drag out a lot of weird CDs at one point or another. i did NOT listen to ‘danny boy,’ which means i wasn’t really anywhere near drunk — tipsiness is way fun though! :-> today i’m doing laundry — life goes on, but the little breaks sure are most keen. :-> rose, not hung over, just s-l-o-w!

ROTFL. i’m a bourbon or brandy gal myself; just never been that big on vodka or [shudder] gin…not very ghetto, is it, LOL. I first mis-read it as a ’slalom party,’ and was gonna ask if you were doing the x-treme sports thing along with the x-treme fishing. ;-> i got semi-plastered on 12 guinnesses and a couplea cheeze dogs and watched, first the X-games, and then juan manuel marquez’ boxing [non] match against licona. i even thought of you while watching the x-games, bob, LOL. remember seeing them in person when they were held in san diego, and miss them! you know tony hawk, don’t you? i have a really NICE tony hawk story. a family we know has a little boy with a rare and serious medical condition related to hemophilia but different. rather than bleeding way too much, he just bleeds way too OFTEN. :{ everything cuts the poor little dude. we saw him fall on the grass, and a huge gash opened up in his leg — he bumped his elbow against a plastic kiddie slide and the same thing happened — he’s constantly covered with bandages — but he’s one of the coolest kids you’d ever hope to meet! the mom and dad both used to work with dennis — dad took 3rd shift and mom 1st shift, because someone always needed to be home for their son. he wanted SO bad to be like other kids — i remember how jazzed he was when he got a bike with training wheels — the training wheels never came off, but he was a lot more ‘like other kids’ and it made him SO happy. he really wanted to skateboard, but after a few falls and trips to the hospital, that one was out. the local paper did a story on the lttle boy, and he said that tony hawk was his hero, that he wished he could skate, but as long as he could watch tony, he was still happy. tony hawk, who had never met the family, read the article in the paper…and totally unexpectedly, several days later, a truck pulled up outside their house, with a brand-new playstation, skate video games, and a personal letter and autographed board…all provided by tony hawk his own legendary self. made that little boy’s day/week/YEAR! :-> the family has since moved to PA to be closer to the shriner’s childrens hospital, but i’m telling you, tony hawk isn’t just a skate-god, he’s a guy with heart, and he’s aces in my book. :-> rose

My hollow leg went on a walkabout back when I was 38… and it hasn’t been seen since. A six-pack is easily enough to bring me to my knees anymore. 4’s my limit if I intend to remain even remotely vertical.
I drank most of a bottle of brandy for my 40th birthday, and I awoke at 4am lying on my back in the mud – in the rain – about 40 yards from the house where I’d been partying. I know I walked most of the 6 miles home and cycled the rest, but I’ll be damned if I know how I did that. > we were boring, and had cheeze-dogs and chips to go with the 6-pack of > ‘guinness draught’ — the bottles with the weird little nitrous > canisters shaking around at the bottom — and the 6-pack of regular > guinness. We get Guinness Draight in cans with those "widgets" in them. It’s not bad beer, but the drawback to the format is that you *must* pour them out literally within seconds of openning them, or they swiftly begin to taste like the can. The upside is that Guinness looks especially nice in a pub glass. :-) > rose, not hung over, just s-l-o-w!
I’m slow myself, and I only managed to down 3 of those cans of beer… less than a litre and a half. My dad used to own a brew pub, and produced 7500 litres of 6 different – very fine – beers in the short time they were brewing… I’m glad my days of diminished capacity didn’t begin that early. :-) ((U)) M

Ahhh, but did he leave you the brew recipes, so that you could brew your own and consume them with your "cigars?" CW PS: Can hemp be fermented, and would the active ingredients go into the wort or into the waste? :-)

They both evaporate at much higher temps than alcohol does… I think the process would then involve distilling the alcohol, then evaporating off all the other lower-temp distillates, then extracting the THC and CBD for re-pickling in the juice. A little like making bud oil, but with an extra twist. :-) ((U)) M

i missed the ending of the 1/2 pipe finals, Bucky Lasek was in first place when i turned channel,, ironically i know many of those guys,, i met buckey when he toured with toney hawk, for Powell/Peralta ,at the time he was only 14 years old, and was toney’s new protege`, he was awesome on the pipe in rishmond,, and broke one of his boards,, i have it on my wall in my room!!! with other sk8 stuff, with toney hawk and others. any time toney came to vancouver i wouldmeet him and the team cause in vancouver our local boy kevin harris was a world pro champion in freestyle, and held the guiness world record for 2 foot tail wheelies of over 1100 took 15 minutes of spinning. i have some pics with me and toney and lots of memories, from tournaments thru the 70’s and 80’s. and was lucky to meet a huge list of pro riders who came to vancouver cause we dont sue everyone for anything,, causing most califonia sk8parks to close from lawsuits, here you cannot sue in a public park if you break your arm cause you are stupid,, !! we have over 40 outdoor parks in BC all free for kids to use!!! also in the summer all the pro snowboarders come to blackcomb glacier to practice,, huge giant wind lip jumps,,100 feet of air!! ,i met all the pros in the 80’s when snowboarding started!!! i was too old to compete against 16 year old teenagers!!,, but did compete in the over 30 – masters group in the 90’s i have some videos of snowboarding where i can be seen in them,, not riding partying only!!,, but my brother and i were in some photo shoots, and other events,, sponsored by Kemper snowboards, on grouse we took up 200 underpriveledged kids from bad neighborhoods,, to tech them to snowboard, for a day,, we supplied all the boots boards etc,, and spent the day teaching teens from 13-16 to ride, most cannot afford the lift ticket let alone the 1000 dollars to outfit your kid with snowboard gearthese days. me and my bro took all the girls right away!!! they actually learned very fast, but the boys who sk8borded jumped right on the snowboards,, back in the day,, we took alot of crap from old school skiiers,, wondering what the hell we were riding coffee tables down the mountain for??? , but i knew it would catch on,, now in the olympics!!! 20 years later. bobD ramblin on today,, ps we still meet once a year for old boys day in vancouver, with the old gang,, usually around the local – slam city jam – festival weekend, xgames rock concert thing on the bill this summer was rancid and offspring, and bad religion.
