Electric Bass Students being accepted in Vancouver WA/Portland OR
Question:
Nice to see ya sticking around. You’re a stand up guy for the apology to Sam.
I agree. I was just initially outraged at seeing the comment. —my personal issues with bars gigs, which I dislike for many reasons. I have "career envy" of a guy like Tony Levin, and I aspire to that level in my future, if I excel in my craft, and play my cards right –integrity, skill, connections
Response:
And I’ll probably send Sam an e-mail for some input.
let me know. i’m looking to start (well continue..it’s been on hold for this year) my own design company as i’ve been doing digital media etc. for years now. happy to give you input if you like
Response:
Your right, i over reacted and didn’t think before i posted. I’m sorry Sam. I was harsh and rude.
That’s alright. i may have been as well. You see, we do get our share of spam, it’s quite unlikely that the ad was for a member of the newsgroup (alt.guitar.bass – though it was crossposted) so really that means generally there is no-one at the other end. was just making my initial comments known. hope to see you around Timmer. Sam

I was playing a 5 string Godin, amber burst with a curly maple top. I also ended up playing a gig in town that weekend at some brew pub next to (I think)the bar called Palace. Nice to see ya sticking around. You’re a stand up guy for the apology to Sam. He’ll be glad to give you some input on your site. Don’t forget to check out this groups web page www.altguitarbass.com Sam did some work there as well. Jay S
– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Jay, The Winthrop photo on the web page is from 98 or so but i was there in 02′ also. We probably did meet there. I was there with the Aaron Black band that year. And the talkin shop part rings a bell as does David Gogo. What kind of bass were you playing? That will probably jog my memory really well. I guess I’m glad Sam posted that comment on the web page now. I just wish someone would have said something sooner. I’ll redo the graphics and titles and see what i can come up with. And I’ll probably send Sam an e-mail for some input. Nice to meet ya again Jay, Timmer — Bass World http://www.timmerblakely.com Jim Mesi Band http://www.jimmesi.com Hey Timmer…. Sam is right about the need to fix up some of the graphics and titles. I also think you’re color and size of font is hard on the eyes. But, you didn’t ask for a website critique so I’ll shut the hell up. I checked out some of your photos. I have this uncanny feeling that we’ve bumped into each other before. 2 possible places from the photos on your site are: The Yale in Vancouver BC or the Winthrop blues festival. (I was there in 2002) At both places, I would have been playing with David Gogo. You kinda look like a guy that asked me about my bass, and we talked shop for awhile.
