Question:
: I have started my first batch of home brew, a simple German Pilsner. …[stuff snipped...] : If there is a FAQ file somewhere that explains the basics, could someone : point me in the right direction. Take a look at the Brewery web server. In the "Library" area you will find several basic "getting started" guides for beginning brewers. After tackling that, take a look at the "Cats Meow" area where you will find over 1,000 beer recipes—many of them award winners and many of them from well-known experienced brewers…. likely better than recipes you might have gotten elsewhere. http://alpha.rollanet.org/ Cheers! —Mark

I have started my first batch of home brew, a simple German Pilsner. Although I have a book of 175 recipies, it doesn’t give basic instructions on how to brew beer, from start to finish. For example, I have been told to put the mixture (water, malt, hops, yeast) after mixing properly into the primary fermenter and wait until it reaches 1.010. Then do I move it to the glass carboy, or bottle it, or strain it? What do I do? If there is a FAQ file somewhere that explains the basics, could someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance. Cam.
